Probably the same m/fold conversion some of the lads are doing on their cars now. Can you see any part number on the manifold on the car? That should tell you if it is.

Tony.

That must be the M50 manifold and remap.
What year/month is your car?

Mines a 99 Twin vanos so maybe an m54 conversion. Not driven another zed so nothing to compare it too.

I did see the receipt when I bought it , it's had quite a few subtle mods like front and rear uprated anti roll bars. I did google the company but could not find any detail on their website of this conversion.

Should be givens it’s a twin.
They must have used a new manifold at that price. Will be worth contacting with the invoice and they’ll be able to confirm. They sell lots of nice BMW bits..

This may well be a stupid question, but wtf? Just had a look at real.oem, and they show the 2.2 manifold as being a different part number to the 3.0. Many of the other parts are the same numbers for both engines, just the manifold itself changes. So, has anyone ever tried the 3.0 on the 2.2, and was it worth it?

You could ask over on the US Bemmerforums, I do recall about that time you could get a big bore thottle body in the US? that would explain the deposit for return of original thottle body. The larger inlet manifolds off M54's wasn't know about then.

Hi Slam, was scrolling through and was over moon to see my old car! Yes I was the long owner for 8 years who completed most of the works and purchased the car with 34k miles (memory is correct) and only sold October 2016 to a chap from Bath area. Glad to see your really continue to put the extra touches to the zed. Wish I had never sold but house move was calling. Regards CA Automotive they collected the car from me, placed larger t.body and specially machined the m52 manifold (yes this can be done) and then remapped. At the time only regret was not to have had the shrink sport cams added too. I know the car runs very well PM me happy to chat at any time.

I shall check the number. I'm the 3rd owner since you sold it , I bought it from a guy in Exeter who was imminently going to loose his license through bad eye sight and wanted one last sports car he only had it 8 weeks and his license was revoked. I have had it coming up for 1 year now. Have you bought another z ?
