Any ideas please

I have an issue 1997 2.8 z3 during this heat the z started running on 5 cylinders after looking at the coil packs number 4 had melted replaced it with a new bremI one it's still missing on 4 , then I swapped them around still missing on 4 ? So new set of plugs still missing on 4 ??? So took it to the garage diognostic thingy £50 quids later they told me it was cylinder number 4 well worth the £50 !! I've checked all the intake hoses all good I've spayed all around the inlet manifold with brake cleaner with engine running no sucking air ....... ime now at a loss and am thinking of taking up drinking does any one have any ideas or has had this problem? ???????

have you checked the spark plug leads in case number 4 has broken down ,perhaps try to swop with another cylinder to see if misfire moves

Try swapping a couple of injectors and see what happens then.

Try the sucky sucky thing, if not, try the squeezy squeezy thing, if not that, the bangy bangy thing, and if not that then the blowy blowy thing......other than that.......no idea!!!
