Antifreeze mix for BMW M54 2.2

Hi all,

Any suggestions/comments on % water/antifreeze mix for my 2001 M54 2.2 Z3.

I know the coolant capacity is 10.5 litres in total, but not done a coolant change myself for about 20 years

Hi Gary,

Fairly certain it is a 50:50 mix water to antifreeze but cannot get access to my TIS documents at the moment.

Yep most antii-freeze makes is usually 50:50 mix for this climate unless you go for the waterless stuff but that is expensive. I have used BMW stuff in the past which is blue and also Prestone stuff which is luminous green and supposidly compatible with all types of anti freeze.

I used Comma X Stream G48 50:50 mix on the M44 - meets BMW spec ~ £23 for 5l concentrate

Thanks all. I had thought 50/50, but a mate said that was a bit too much antifreeze for the UK.

I had to order whatever GSF had in stock, as I don't have the luxury of a working car to go shopping in...
