Hi all, I’ve got the car off the road for a couple of months and I’m attempting a little rear end refresh.
shocks, springs and the beam bushes are the main items I’m tackling.
However I have the anti roll bar off at the min, the ends are corroded and the drop links are toast. Main bushings look ok. I’ve seen a set of H&R anti roll bars for about £325.00. Is this a worthwhile upgrade ?? or should I refurb the existing, replace the drop links and bushings.
any thought / experiences appreciated.

When you say a "Set" of H&R roll bars, do you mean front and rear? with drop links?
If so, yes, buy them.

Tony.

Thanks Tony, yes it’s for front and rears with bushings but not the drop links. Do they make a noticeable difference to the handling ?

The main thing is the strength of the roll bar itself. A link after all is just that, a link.

The H&R will stiffen the roll effect up so the car will be a lot flatter on bends a good upgrade but you might need to have some strengthening on the swing arm tabs were the drop links connect to if you have them on the stiffest setting, but I don’t know how thick the roll bars are on your model compared to an ///M variant.
