Picked it up a couple of months ago mechanically its great for a 2001 with 45k no rust 2.2i sport.
Did have a few niggles that I'm sorting, passenger seat would not lower fixed with help from roadster.net and roadster.org.
Paint felt rough so a clay bar later now super smooth. Original radio had been replaced with a sony so the front speakers didn't work, do now thanks to the forums for a fix, but I did buy a Blaupunkt CD43 for when I want the OEM look, it works great but the CD skips over bumps and I needed an aux in for the mp3s.
All I need now to sort the wheels they have some bubbling round the edge but as they are the split rim ones I will get them redone by the pros.
Will get around to sorting the leather bolster wear at some point, and need to fix the seat belt guide so will do it all at once.
Really looking forward to some of the meets I have seen.

Here is a pic befor I picked it up as I have not taken any yet waiting to get wheels sorted first.
This is my first post so its also my intro more pics and chatter to come.
And thanks for the invaluable info from other posters

All the best and Happy Christmas
Ken

PS really need one of these they are the plastic caps over the bolts on the dash part Number

A very warm welcome Ken!

Your Z3 is looking stunning, don't think I've seen those colour seats in a Steel Grey before - looks very suited! Likewise I have a 2001 2.2i Sport, so welcome to the club...

Shout if you have any questions, but it looks like you are doing fine so far.

Cheers, Gary

Hi Ken, that's a sweet looking combination of colours I really like it. Welcome from near Lincoln. If you try Sopers of Lincoln for your plastic bolt cap they will give a forum discount and post to you. Hope you find what you need.:)

Seasons best wishes to you and yours.

Tony.

Feel come Ken, just ask when you need help.

@BMBabe ask Gary to create the 2.2 Crew tag line, I think their should be another special interest group like the M44 Massive
