I saw this little fella on Ebay and got a good feeling. It was 90 mins further west of us in Swansea so I knew it wasn't going to get too much interest and needed 'saving'. I wanted a project for while I'm up in Swansea and my other half's son has been admiring my 2.2 Trudy I rebuilt so I went to have a look with him in mind.
It's a 1999 Boston Green 1.9, identical in fact to my brother's car having the same interior too.
I liked it straight away. Very solid, 115k miles which is not too shabby and only 2 previous owners with full file of old MOTs (current to Sep). The paintwork had been damaged by a car cover but I reckon I can get that out quite easily. The interior needed a good wet vax but these cloth seats are bullet-proof so I had some confidence they would come up.
The ASC was firing off randomly and cutting the throttle but I figure I can track that down easily enough. And it's not warming up properly. Apart from that all the usual little jobs like broken aerials to sort out.
Oh and a simply awful set of 15" pepper pot wheels that I detest (sorry if anyone has them on their car but there are limits). I have a set of more standard 16" Style 35s with some nice nearly new Falkens to keep him safe.
So £900 changed hands and Jgeffie (jeffy) as she's now known has a new home in Swansea.
The seats have already had a deep clean and look fantastic now. Before and after:
Apart from introducing Jgeffie I wanted to show how just £900 can buy you a very viable Z3 requiring only modest fettling.
