2000 3.0: Read the many threads on this forum about this emotive subject.

Airbag light came on about three weeks go. Code is the 1A seat occupancy thing.

Removed both seats, removed and checked all connectors, made sure they were seating correctly, etc.

Creator 310+ resets the light. It goes off for about five seconds then comes on again.

Fitted a "Seat Occupancy Mat Bypass Sensor" bought from Ebay.

Didn't male the slightest bit of difference. Code and (light) is still there.

Any ideas?

I've read the thread where the chap is going to sell / break his car because he cannot get the light to go out. I don't want to do that!

Could be the battery safety terminal picking up on a corroded main + battery lead. It puts the air bag light on. I cannot recall the exact code mine put up. Only resolution was a new cable from battery. Goes from back to front.

AS long as the fault remains the light will come back and remain on. If the bypass didnt sort it then check the pyro + connection at the battery. These work loose and can bring the light on. The Creator is usually good at finding the fault codes.
All the connections under the seats must be clean and dry, pay particular attention to the seat belt buckles and pre tensioner connections.
