Here's a shot of the National Capitol Area (Maryland, Virginia, DC) BMW Club cars at the start of the annual Pie Run. We start at the Catoctin Mountain Orchard to pick up pies, then press on, southward, along the Blue Ridge mountains and through some excellent twisty roads through the Virginia horse county (yes, they still hunt fox) to the Amish butcher, and still further south to Madison, Virginia (after James Madison) for a little snack at the Bavarian Inn.
The new (to me) Z3 faired well. Nothing fell off or broke in 400 7/10's miles, over almost 12 hours in the car. We kept up with the new V8 M3's pretty well, too, until they went to 9/10's. Then, they were just...gone. Better yet, the next day, while cleaning up, I found a Dinan label on the computer connection. The wonders of used cars are not to be discounted. And, Cheers to my wife, Barbara, for navigating the whole day and not getting car sick! What a good sport.

Glad you could open the attachment!. One of the best parts of the trip was running two or three cars behind an M3 that had an open exhaust. I could hear the up and downshifts and know what was coming up in the next blind curve. That white 1975 3.0 Bavaria sedan in the picture was really hauling A. What you can't see is the Nixon/Agnew sticker on the rear window.

Sorry - no more photos. Keeping up with the M's, and wife navigating, kind of took up most of my concentration. Which brings to mind a practical upgrade that I may have to add - a Dash Cam. They are very popular in Russia, I understand. I definitely have some mental images from this trip that I wish could have been recorded.

I liked the sound of this, I like the odd pie. It is a bit far though. I might start my own pie run followed by a kebab run, curry run, chinese run etc etc
