Just bought the car below...

2001 3.0i with a range of extra bits from new...
have added a bracket for a tomtom / new head unit (bluetooth tel. & music streaming) / need to replace rear left light - assume someone damaged it at some point and put the wrong one back!

was out today in the rain, and when it stopped the sun came out - so nipped in and got the camera...

Welcome to the forum Alasdair :ymhug:

You have a lovely looking Zed, and a keen eye for a good picture.

If your between Swindon and Cirencester that makes you reasonably local to me along with a few other Swindonites! I feel my 4 counties cruise (Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire & Gloucestershire) may have to be rerun this year...

That looks a rather nice Series II (?) in the background (but can't quite make it out exactly what it is). Finally it's always nice to see a correctly fitted luggage rack!

Thank you Gary :)

It does seem a good car and I am a photographer amongst other things! so hopefully the photos aren't too out of focus...
I think that we probably are quite local - I am over the border into Glos, but do talk to those in Wilts :beer
Yes - Series 2a (1971) - hopefully soon to be turned into a rag top and my mechanic is rebuilding a 4.6v8 to go into it :car)
P38a is going (replacing with an Evoque) and 1961 S2 has just been sold - so lots of LRs! - the Z3 makes a change!!

Mine was 1966. Absolute pain to keep going with dodgy electrics. The chap I sold it on to spent a couple of hours on the electrics and it sailed through an MOT with a tiny bit of welding chucked in for good measure.

Always fancied owning a P38. I was put off the later Landies by owning a Freelander TD4 - that thing could draw the foulest words out of the pits of my stomach.

new wiring loom for mine :) - though it has its mot - no issues...

P38 is up on ebay if you are tempted :-o
got the JE Engineering stage 2 conversion on it - so more powerful than normal - mind you it is diesel which might be a dirty word on here!

Thanks for the welcome all :)

didn't choose 3.0 engine deliberately...
My sister used to own the car - sold it last Christmas to a local dealer (without telling me!) for a low price...
I watched it on the forecourt for the last 4 months not selling - so went and offered him a bit above what he paid...

did my research after buying the car! and discovered that the 3.0 litre looks the best option - much cheaper than the M and def. powerful enough (the times you would need the extra M power are rare!)
so very pleased with it... :)
