Amp routing

Hi all! My Z3 does not have a factory amp, or subwoofer. I’m looking at running an amp in the boot with a small Subwoofer either behind the passenger seat, or in the footwell. As I don’t have a factory sub, my rear compartment has a pop up lid with storage. It’s not obvious how to remove this, as the lid at all angles seems to cover the screws so you can’t get a driver in! Is there something I am missing here, or is there a better way to run the cables into the boot?

If anyone has pictures or sub recommendations, please do share! I was just going to build a small box and steal a redundant 8” driver from an old surround sound in the loft

Great posts, thanks for sharing. The install of the amp through the front looks interesting. Hopefully I can find more information on that!
