While driving up the A1 to north yorkshire at the weekend I reset my mpg readout to see what my mpg was.Doing a steady 75mph the readout showed 64mpg which is pretty normal for my motorway miles car a 320D which I have owned for 7 years and (touch wood )still runs great.
However we hit roadworks which brought my speed down to about 50mph, shortly after I glanced down to see my mpg readout of 83.4mpg s:D ,Amazed is the only reaction I can say!Soon changed when we got going again but this is still high.Anybody able to say they have had a higher readout?
