Ever wanted an Alpina Roadster?
My Alpina needs a new home!

A genuine and rare Alpina plaque #105 of 167 built.

The Roadster S' body was prepared at the BMW factory in Spartanburg, and sent to the Alpina factory in Buchloe for final assembly. It was produced by modifying a Z4 3.0i by stripping off the standard interior and installing an Alpina specific interior, modifying its engine and installing Alpina specific components.
Production was carried out for only two years (in 2004 and 2005) with 167 cars built in total. The Z4 was the last model hand built in the Alpina factory before Alpina production moved to the BMW factory production lines.

The engine is a hand-built 3.4 litre generating an output of 296bhp and 360 N⋅m of torque. The engine has a red-line of 7,300 rpm. Modifications to the engine include an Alpina specific cylinder head, crankshaft and high strength MAHLE pistons. The exhaust system is a stainless steel unit from Eisenmann with dual polished exhaust tips, performance figures are 0–60 mph in 5.1 seconds, 0–100 mph in 13 seconds and a claimed top speed of 169 mph (not tried it though) ..........but its an M chaser :)

It ran 285bhp last year on the rolling road (MAF was u/s now replaced) and ran 300bhp at a previous test (previous owner) Simpsons were pleased to inform me that the compression tests following the HG change were as good as a new engine :)

This example drives lovely and pulls like a train (exhaust note is fantastic). Everything works. 142k on the clock.

Yes but looking at E89s too
Looking for a late 35is myself but there are not many around.

I suspect it might be noticed if I offered you Gail's E89 as a straight swap for the Alpina

The Z4 was started by BMW but finished by Alpina.
Such a nice looking machine and soo quick too.

Get it on Pistonheads - lots of love and knowledge about an Alpina there.

That, is a special car. Its got to be close to starting to appreciate hasnt it - future classic ?

This isnt partly my fault is it - my boot is actually really tiny !

It is absolutly youre fault! ;) =))=))
I think if we all wait around for our cars to appreaciate to a level we would like we'll be keeping them forever ;) I guess I just want to sell the car to someone who will appreaciate its rarity and enjoy its performance, Its a hoot to drive if I'm honest. no one can sell anything for more than the market can stand and people are willing to pay. I have no idea (other than other Alpinas I have seen for sale) if this is priced right. Ive tried to take the mileage into account but also had to consider the work / money that I have input to keep it in good working order , certainly not tying to or going to make a profit (I wish :D)

Niall it is a beautiful car and could tempt me out of my Z3M if I am honest but hope you manage to find a new home for it.
