Guys, bidding for set of these http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/37 to replace these http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/107.

Let alone aesthetical aspects, this is subjective. I am now more concerned on ET - new set will protrude from arches 27-28 mm more. Will it fit at all or should i cancel bids immediately?

5 series wheels are generally no good for the zed for the reasons you state.
These will stick out alot i think z4 rear offset its et50 normally a 15 mm spacer would fill the arch to flush so lets say a offset of 35.
The only thing to change this would be wheel width but not the amount you need so i would say they are not going to fit at all correctly sticking out too far.

Yep, googled a bit and found that et about 35-40 for fronts and rears is around margin!

You will be best sticking with 35-40 offsets, of which there are plenty to choose from. They are a nice looking wheel though, always wanted a set to the replace the turbines on my 525d.

E39 wheels typically work a treat at the back of widebodies and facelifts, protruding just enough to match the pumped-up flares, whereas their ET20 is not suitable for the front axle of all models and rear as well on pre-restylings 4 pots.
I am also on a quest for a pair of styling 32 9J ET13 to put at the back, but keeping the original 7,5J ET41 at the front.
