After the recent sale of my 2.8 widebody and 2.2 E85 I recently acquired this lovely 2002 2.2 Sport in Topaz Blue with Lotus White interior with the idea of tidying it up and selling it when summer hits.
The only problem is that I took it out for a good run today to check it over and much preferred the experience to my current E89.
Now don't get me wrong I love the E89 as well but for the type of solo journey I did today (small country lanes flanked by traditional stone walls) you can't beat the rawness of the Z3 coupled with the soundtrack of that inline six.
In addition the fact I bought the car on the 22/01/22 and am now in the 2nd week of ownership and its an 02 plate with the M54B22 and it emits 222 g/km of CO2 - you see where I'm going here. Not sure if this is what they call OCD or just me trying to justify keeping it.
Anyway does anyone fancy a 2013 plate E89 :bashhead:

Almost snap, my 3 litre Sport is a Topaz Blue, Lotus White car, first registered in 2002 ;)

Looks lovely that and I do like the blue & white colour scheme despite being from the red & white side of Sheffield from a footballing perspective - that said I bet your Lotus White is much whiter than mine. A good interior clean is just one of the jobs on my to do list

Think I'm there already mate despite what I decide to do with the E89 but I am glad to be back in an inline six - the sound of that N20 motor is something I just struggle to enjoy despite how hard I try. Also I can't deny the look of the Z3 appeals to me over all the models it preceeded.

Not necessarily, the Lotus White in the 3 is a lot cleaner than in the 2.2 but then there's over 200,00 miles on the 2.2 but only 68,000 on the 3. Does need a good clean though;)

Agree totally, one of the reasons I changed my E85 for the 3 litre Z3:whistle:

I think I used to pass that car quite often on the commute (before working from home) by the number plate.
