I still think that EV's are a stop-gap until the true future is released. When will they face the fact that we do not have the power available if everyone switches to EV, or do they have a master plan, or will it be like diesel where they convince people to switch then announce they are the work of the Devil. Perhaps we will have mastered Hydrogen power by then.
I think the enforced deadline being discussed is less of a concern than how the government will look to impact the cost of driving these cars. There is also the option of having the car converted to electric as no doubt the volume of companies offering this service increases and the process improves. To be honest its not something I could envisage doing - I already own a Tesla so I have the Z3 to remind me what driving is like but if I've learnt anything it's never say never.Oh blimey! We Z car owners are in trouble then! Please correct me if I’m interpreting this incorrectly!
Not in trouble at all, Transport Secretary has it wrong - he incorrectly said 2030.Oh blimey! We Z car owners are in trouble then! Please correct me if I’m interpreting this incorrectly!
There's a good chance buisiness could rise for the small independent garage, the big boys may move away from servicing ICE cars over time, or charge more. Plenty of work for ICE mechanics for 50 years yet, or more.I just wonder whats going to happen to all the local Garages My mums next door neighbour has a small garage which employs 6 mechanics the business has been in his family for 50 years
