Alarm chirp 3 times every minute

Hi folks,

The alarm on my 97 2.8 (if that makes any difference) keeps chirping 3 times when alarmed or disarmed.

I've read this could be due to a faulty switch, most likely the bonnet switch. That kind of made sense as I was under the bonnet checking the fluids today, however disconnecting it done nothing. Just before this started I went into the boot to charge the battery, maybe it's the boot switch, is it in the boot lock? How do I disconnect it?

Or is there something else I should be looking for?
