Aircon to the rescue

I've sometimes wondered why buyers of convertibles bother to specify aircon on the extras list. I now know why. Today mrsw and I went for a gentle cruise around the Essex villages between the rivers Crouch and Blackwater. Lovely day out until we got stuck in a massive queue on the way home. As we started to fry in the 30 degree sun I remembered that the car has aircon. Raised the roof, turned the fridge on and sat in glorious coolness all the way home.

Indeed - set to max. Nice n cool but still get warm sun on you and wind in your hair (those of us that still have some anyway).

The only time I have used mine, stuck in a traffic queue in 35 deg in Switzerland 4 years ago.

Yep, used ours in Italy a couple of years ago. Stuck in traffic around Lake Como and it was 34 degrees and rising. Broke my own golden rule of 'if it's not raining, roof down'.

Not used my Z3 for two weeks it's a killer without A/C at 30 degrees been using our other cars with A/C heaven.
I used it one day at almost 30 degrees stuck in traffic I melted felt rough it was so hot.
My first Z3 had A/c in 1999 but we were never this hot back then , don't get me wrong I love warm weather a civil 22 to 24 is lovely but 30 degrees for work way to hot . it would be nice if it stayed dry but just cooled a tad.
