Airbag Light

I took my passenger seat out to replace the motor for the seat moving forward and backwards, also free the cable to adjust the seat position.
When I've plugged everything back in and used the car, the airbag light in on.
Is this because I unplugged with the battery on and the computer needs resetting?....or is there a fault potentially?..
Can you reset the computer?

Had the same issue I just plugged in a code reader and reset it, its been fine since, but I believe there is also an air bag light reset tool?? someone will let you know.
 
Likely just needs resetting. Damaged wiring under the seat can also cause this.
 
The airbag light as said probably just needs resetting the tool is inexpensive and always good too have...
 
@smoggy Whereabouts are you in Cheshire? If you are not far from Chester, then I have INPA which I have used to read codes and reset mine. HTH.

haha..thanks anyway. I'm in Warrington, so not far. I will bear it in mind in case it doesn't come before my trip to Europe on 18th..

My air bag light came on when I took my Z in to the garage the other week :p
I phoned and told them it was on :)
I took the Z back and it was because my seat was moved and the wire had been pulled :)
It ok now thank goodness ;)
Hope you get yours fixed ;)
