I have just bought a new lid to replace the warped one on my passenger side dashboard airbag.
Is this easy to replace, or is it a specialist job?
It looks as if there are only two bolts on a tether plus a couple of tags to hold it shut.

IT is easy to replace. Remove the glove box and you will see the strap hangs down and bolts under the bar. Just pry the top lid off and pull the strap up and out. The top cover is not attached to the airbag.

You pull it out! I don't have the info on me here and now. I will try to send you something unless someone beats me to it. It is easy though.

Thanks for that, but how do you get behind the glovebox??
I've pulled the dash out recently on my breaker but I didn't make a mental note of what I did. And I would have pulled the glove box out by then anyway.

But if helps you come round on Saturday. You can inspect the dismantled assembly. It's still sitting loosely in the car.

View attachment 64665 All done. Thank you all for your help, it certainly made it a lot easier!
Well done. Give me a shout if you need anything like that in the future. I've got a lot of stuff like that on the shelf. I'm only ever after a fiver or less for low demand bits like that if they're picked up.
