Hi,

With the nights getting darker I drove my Z3 in the dark for the first time last night.

Looking at the various back lights I noticed that while the electric seat switches were back lit, the air con/re-circulation buttons were not.

They light up when pressed, but no back light when off.

My Z3 is post facelift, so has the round buttons.

Do these switches not light up at night, or have I got a faulty back light?

Many thanks.

Regards,

Nick

I think that's normal. The air con button on my facelift only lights up when pressed, regardless of whether the side/headlights are on or off.

Thanks everyone.

No new switch required.

Have got to sort out he dimmer pot on the back of the light switch - it's a bit intermittent, but found a useful thread detailing what to do!

Regards,

Nick

So, you are saying the AC switch does light up and that the backlight is controlled by headlight switch dimmer function.

AC switch only lights when buttons are pressed, ie no "backlight".
