whilst adjusting my seat today the airbag warning light came on...to the best of my knowledge i had not come to a sudden halt. or had a collision ..maybe tomorrow the sun will come out. On the plus side booked the car in to have http://www.alloygator.co.uk/index.asp?page_ID=23 fitted,£100 for all four and they save the alloys and look like part of the wheel

Unfortunately it looks like you have disturbed the seatbelt pretensioner connector under the seat, this is a weak spot in the system and it requires to be reset with a code reader. Hopefully someone with one can do this for you otherwise you can always buy a reset tool or take a trip to a dealer.

As Brian says you will have snagged the cable to the seatbelt pretensioners but don't worry it is easily rectified with a reset tool and quite a common fault especially with new owner zeds as they move the seat back and forth during the first few days of ownership trying to find the optimum driving position.

I got this one does the job

HERE
Same here. Really easy to use and interpret. Helped me out several times when changing the seats over.

My problem tends to be the wiring under the passenger seat.

Mine is similar but only when Mrs Mint is in the passenger seat. It never comes on when I'm on my own. I have checked the plugs under the passenger seat and they all seem to be ok.

The passenger airbag occupancy sensor in the seat can play havoc with the system, I have had the symptoms described above several times and when the codes are checked it shows the occupancy sensor at fault.

Interesting Brian, I've just read/reset my codes (for another problem) but there were none that referred to the occupancy sensor - strange.

Does anyone have a current link to an airbag warning light indicator tool I can buy? - I removed by seats to replace the seat bushes and like an idiot put the key in the ignition to move the car half way through! as a result the light is now on!

I have followed the link from previous threads but they are all no longer listed?

Cheers

Just hit ebay, they're for sale all the time from different sources. I think I bought mine for under £10 shipping included from China. Will let everyone know if it works once I actually have the car in Canada. JIM

My B800 works fine! Had to carry out procedure twice one time to get it to reset!
