hi
the air bag light is on my z3, it goes off and comes straight back on.
i have car diagnostic software (delphi) and it is saying its the passenger air bag but it has not got one.
i have cleaned all connectors, checked wires all look good.

any ideas?
i would have took the car to zed fest as its up for sale but alas i am at a wedding.

Does your diagnostic reader give a fault code number or just description. Translations of description can vary and be misleading.

No it doesn't guess I will have to try and get on a bmw code reader
Cheers
Just a thought - I don't know the Delphi name I use INPA original German version and then have to translate. Did your connection check include seat belt pre tensioner?

I think these are the possibles on your model - even though there is no passenger airbag fitted the tensioner 06 is still in circuit.

BMW ABS ZAE 2

01 Internal CM Fault
02 Failure airbag warning lamp
03 Supply voltage low
04 Ignition circuit for driver airbag
05 Firing circuit belt tensioner Driver Side
06 Firing Circuit belt tensioner Passenger Side
07 Ignition circuit for passenger airbag

check the wiring under the passenger seat. if the light comes back on then it is a current fault.
