Hoping I've solved this passenger door airbag intermittent fault which I inherited from previous owner(t-Tony). What concerned me was the fact that I didn't know if when the fault is showing does the whole system close down. Anyway
my Delphi scanner was telling me it was the A pillar multi connector, we'd been disconnecting it spraying with elect cleaner re-connecting and cancelling fault which could last for a few weeks to half a year before showing its ugly head again. The last time it came up was in July so I decided perhaps the connector was not joining together firmly enough making a bad connection to the door airbag. Didn't fancy stripping the whole harness out or disconnecting airbag and using a resister thinking it's not fair to the passenger to be without that side collision airbag. So firmed the connection up by clamping the A pillar connector together with 3x thin cable ties. Was convinced that would be the end of it but the light came on yet again a fortnight ago. Bit the bullet and ordered used tested door harness £29. Changed it and cancelled the fault, was really surprised how easy it was once the door card was off. Fault warning light is off and my fingers are crossed that the fault was door side of the connector. Only time will tell. No pics Im afraid accept of the old harness when job was fully finished.
