Hey Z Fam,

Was just curious what you guys are currently rocking for your radios. I'm in the market for an update to the factory (I don't have any cassette mix tapes). Was hoping someone had a good XP with a single din that matched our gauges.

I've got an Alpine mechless unit in my black zed with Bluetooth so I've got hands free phone too. It doesn't have DAB though.
In my silver zed I've got a Philips DAB cd/radio but it doesn't have Bluetooth.

I have a Sony something or other but never ever put it on, I much prefer the sound of my exhaust over someone whaling at me out the speakers.

I managed to pick up an OEM BMW head unit for peanuts a few months ago. Although it looked great having used it a few times I wasn't getting along with it mainly due to the poor sound quality, so it was sold on eBay.

and instead I got this which looks good and sounds awesome, although it is on the dear side slightly.

Alpine CDE-205DAB, it has bluetooth, CD, DAB, USB and aux (basically all connectivity you could want) and the display can be set to match the rest of the centre console.

I have had a Kenwood KDC-BT4 for a few years now, I originally got it for the DAB radio but it has Bluetooth CD and front and rear USB which are all useful.

Cr*p OEM unit quality is all part of the retro charm for me.

There’s also less buttons to get confused over.

My Wife bought me a new radio for Christmas, DAB Kenwood bt504DAB from H*lfords. Good DAB sounds and excellent hands free phone. Multi choice colour display, with a bit of adjustment can be set to match the BMW amber/red illumination.
