Wanted Aftermarket exhaust for 97 2.8 wanted (will consider stock)

Hello I've been getting quotes locally of 600+ for a stainless exhaust so I thought I would ask in here.

I'm doing a lot of work on the car atm, no point putting the original one back on the car, it's in poor condition.

I got stainless steel exhaust from stainless creations in falkirk £550 excellent quality you can see them on YouTube and evil gt got there exhaust from them

Had a very good look at it today, it's my middle box (resonator ?) That's rusted through. The rest is ok, going to try removing it and welding the missing section in.

Quad pipes just might have to wait a few months or before the next mot is due.

I have a cracked weld after the resonator and was thinking of doing the same as you. Let us know if it affects the exhaust note when you get around to doing it (mine has been like that for 6 years ).

I have done this.........removed resonator..........no problems with MOT and not too much difference with sound.

My car’s back box had rusted through so I had a stainless steel replacement and they matched the sound with a lifelong guarantee - well, as long as I own the car and as I bought it new, it’s going nowhere! I recall the back box with new tail tips to match old style cost about £450.

Hi Paul I have a half stainless system in the cupboard, is your current system a one piece or does it have flanges ?

I got one from stainless creations in falkirk. mine was about £1200... however mine was the full exhaust from the manifold all the way through... they are very reasonable and they are fantastic at what they do
