Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an aftermarket alternative for the center propshaft bearing, 26121229089.

The genuine BMW part is ridiculously expensive in my opinion so I will try an aftermarket one, unsure though which one to choose.

Any recommendations please?

Kind regards
Dominik

160 € / £140 for the whole center bearing with carrier. The single bearing costs no more than 10 € but cannot be replaced separately, so I don't know why this is offered from BMW.
Have you looked on Autodoc..that’s where I got my E89 version from ?

Finding one is not the problem, there are literally dozens available.

I'm looking for recommendations because the part suppliers have a rather varying quality nowadays...
I used the Toptrans….the major players I normally use weren’t present…

Febi 01846 about £20
Used 3 so far on different cars, not had any problems, though the latest one hasn’t turned a wheel yet.
You can replace the bearing, but there was only a fiver difference when I did the first one, not worth the time/hassle I thought.

Febi seems like russIan roulette..some stuff is excellent..eg N20 cam chains / oil pump drive…other stuff not so good….if possible I use Mahle, Meyle HD, Lemforder, TRW, Zimmerman etc ….

Thanks so far!
That's exactly the problem, can't tell if a part is manufactured by the supplier or merely relabeled, so buying from a well-known brand is no insurance for quality anymore.

@B21 I used to buy Lemfoerder a lot as it was mostly OEM, but from what I've heard many of their parts are 'made in china' and the quality of these is rather poor.

Certainly with Febi thats the case ..I use Meyle HD which are alleged to be superior re-engineered parts…I don’t think Mahle, Lemforder, TRW, Zimmerman re badge much…
