Event After the Limborit

Guys that would be a bucket list tour for me in my roadster, Even with my mobility issues if I could afford it I'd be there, must cost a bomb?
I am so envious of you guys:depressed: Drive hard, drive safe and all get home safely with all zeds in tact

I was surprised that the cost was not as much as I thought it would be. The crossing was cheap enough, the hotels were mid range and good value. The only real expense was the cost of the food in Switzerland which was mind blowing. The drive though was really worth it. Every penny..

It is definitely a great trip, the only trouble is once you have done it once you have to keep going back. This will be my fifth trip to the Alps but the first to Austria. As Paul says, the cost isn't as bad as you would think. :thumbsup:
 
We too have also been around 5 times and as has been said once is never enough it becomes addictive. No more cost than an all inclusive holiday in peak season. I would estimate the cost to be around 2k including fuel, beer and food for 14 days

To be fair it can as expensive as you want it to be, we do sensible priced hotels so that cost isn't huge, the fuel is a factor it cost me around £650 for fuel last year but that was some serious quick mountain driving included and just shy of 3000 miles.
 
Just for info, the fuel costs of our two trips to Europe last year were:
Dutch Limborit / Swiss Passes, £361 and 2,216 miles
Andorra, £326 and 2,115 miles

Thanks for all the info guys but 2 grand is an awful lot of money to a pensioner, If my new house purchase fails (fierce competition) and my health improves then I would love to try it, maybe try to get someone to accompany me and split the bills cos I think the fuel would be a bit steep cos my old girl does like a drink, especially the more refined vintage:wideyed:
Next year if anyone is looking for someone to ride shotgun and split the bills I'd definitely be up for that, at least that way I wouldn't need to worry about driving so far, and who wouldn't want a 50 something going on 20 something geordie along for the ride:thumbsup: No answers please, the question was purely rhetorical (though the idea is not) Applications in writing please:highfive:

There are quite a few of us pensioners on here but you can't take it with you, enjoy life while you can. :):):)
