Advice...

Purely financial would sell the bits separate as the car would stand up well as Standard.
I suppose financially it makes sense but i look at what i paid for it stock and then what i spent to sort it through numerous guises and the figure is not massive. All the time and effort is not really of matter as the enjoyment in the doing has paid for that.
I may well try the water but its not being given away the 2.8 value is vast from 2-6k when you look and stock cars with mileage equal or exceeding mine are more expensive then i would aim for.
I suppose its like everything certainly with cars it only needs 1 person that likes the car styled as it is and the price can be realised its going to stand out in the market against many stock cars for sure !

One of my favorite Zeds this one, just don't know how you can value it with everything you've done, only an enthusiast would understand the time effort and money. Tricky one.

Hmmm my opinion is very much keep it, but I think you have made up your mind already to sell.

2.8 wide-bodies are rare and in demand especially in this condition and with everything spent.

Put it out at £9K and see who bites?

9K ? I have a value of less than half that to be honest not sure the value is in it to be honest.
But appreciate the advice

The time and effort in theory is not something im trying to capture just trying to gauge opion on where it sit in the market place within current pricing as said you see them from 2K upto 8K low milers but then they are still cars that are 21 underneath i suppose where as mines not and to someone that understands that, they would see a value different to someone that sees just a Z3 that looks nice =))

Less than half 9k @Antm72? That is giving it away. Put a good price on it and genuine buyers will enquire with a view to a bit of bargaining when they've seen it. I sold my very ordinary Z3 2.2i (nothing on suspension etc touched) for £4250 so I wouldn't let yours go for under 5k at least.

I would put a price of around 6 to 6.5k on it Ant and see where you go from there. If you take the wheels off you would definitely have a few buyers lining up at the right price, i may be one of them :whistle::thumbsup::thumbsup:

This is one of my favourite zeds on here ( must be the colour ) it's a well sorted car with lots extras but not a good time to be selling , @Mario has a well sorted zed and to the surprise of many it's still for sale @ £3250 , to get its worth you will need to spread your net pretty wide .

Put it up for what you'd really be happy with and test the water, I would buy it tomorrow if I could afford it, seems such a shame to maybe loose one of our most distinguished Zs if it goes to someone outside our group.
So glad your not throwing the towel in and leaving us, the Z4 is a natural progression and a coupe would be right up your street, ask me I'll tell you why.;).

Roy.;)

@Antm72. I'll stick my neck out. I know the car well and it's a stunner, anyone that viewed it would buy. We discussed price the other week and you are to cheap in my opinion. To high it won't sell. It's got to have a figure of £5000 all day. Now is the time to sell, you may get an enthusiast on here but I'd put it on piston heads, autotrader and the likes to be honest. That would get you a 3.0si to start tinkering with..

I agree at least £5k

if you do decide to return to standard, please give me first shout on the wheels

Many would like the wheels i have never seen another set with the offsets :D

That could be quite an auction Ant!;)

Tony.

Good luck with it mate, sad to see you sell it but it is what it is.
