I apologise if this is the wrong part of the forum to ask this question. I want to sell my 1.9 Z3 but unsure what price to put it up for.

It's a 1.9 in Arctic Silver. It's done around 120,000 miles. Body work is reasonable for it's age. I had the sills repaired and re-sprayed a couple of years ago but they are showing slight signs of rust, as are the arches.

All front drop links etc were replaced about 12 months ago. It's had a new exhaust, brake lines were replaced about 2 years ago. All electrics work although there are heated seat buttons the seats aren't heated so must have been swapped out at some point? Slight oil leak from a gasket on front of engine but not enough to have ever troubled me. I bought a facelift front bumper and fitted that. Still have the original although it has a crack in it. Wheels could do with a refurb.

I've only really pottered about in it for the past 2 years but I've got a 2.8 now so this needs to go.

Any advice on price? MOT has expired but I don't think it would need much if anything to get it through.

Also I'm wondering if the plate is private and I should sell that separately?

Cheers

Can you not get an mot on it as its value will be way less without one .

Agree, you'll be knocking off around £300 without an MOT

Pics please :photogenic:

Pics all there now. Agree with previous comments on value.

Remember without an MOT it's not only the risk of what it might cost to get it through. It can't legally be driven away so would need to be trailered at £100-£300.

You need to check your V5 as to whether you can sell the plate seperately. Sometimes the V5 is indicated as the registration can't be transferred. This can happen when DVLA give out a new 'regular' registration after a personalised plate is removed. They need to give an age related plate to you and obviously begrudge the possibility of you selling it on if it's a good one and going back round the loop to give you another (which you may sell...).

Can, see pics now

Agree to remove the plate. Worth more to retain it and keep or sell on.

Looks to be in good condition from the photos. Would definitely look to get a new MOT for it, as it will sell a lot easier.

With 12 months MOT, your probably looking around £1,100 to £1,300
Without any MOT, probably £900 tops.

Hi, just sold my 1998 1.9 with 110000 miles for 800 quid with 8 month mot and full electrics hood, and heated seats , and decent service history She needed a bonnet respray and a new hood estimate about 800pounds so valued about 1500 pound . Just a word of warning if selling on gumtree or ebay beware of dodgy requests to contact buyers through some Gmail accounts I had two and when I googled them guess what they were linked to scam accounts

Nice looking car. Consider keeping until spring next year and the price will be higher, but put an MOT on it or you will limit yourself to a smaller number of possible buyers. Number plate could appeal to a hairdresser with a sense of humour and is worth trying to sell separately.
