Hi
having read the excellent Mike Fishwick Wiki on oil changes and the need to replace the mini 'O' rings which according to him not even the BMW services mechanics do (and they should!!) I am struggling to find any package on ebay or otherwise that does a good quality oil filter and include all the 'O' rings needed
I checked the forum posts first before posting this to see if this had been covered but couldn't find anything.
0-30 or 5-40 that is the question.

How about trying these guys Soper Lincoln parts department, if you mention this site you will get a discount, they will search for the correct parts for you car if you have your VIN to hand, small parts like these are usually as cheap as 3rd party replacements. Good guy to deal with.

Just Spoke to Jamie at Soper he ordered both the oil filter kit plus those pesky mini O rings, £13.00 plus free delivery - what a bargain! and great friendly service

I recently had an oil change got the oil from Opie with filter, the O rings came
with the filter, fiddly to replace though

I can second this, they were very helpful, free next working day delivery and the discount, I won't be using anyone else now for Zelda's spares.
Cheers,
Bonzo.

Andy, thanks so much for this thread. I googled Mike's name and found the article about the oil changes and the 'O' rings. What an eye opener!!!! As I prefer to do my own oil changes, I'll make sure to get the proper 'O' rings. It scares me to think that I might have had oil changes done by 'professionals' thinking they were doing the proper procedures and then having my engine fail. thanks for looking out for us.
