This is from an E46 - what are my chances of getting it fitted on the Z3?
Thanks - sounds like an exercise I should leave aloneI think you will have to make your own mind up about this project! Take lots of measurements of things such as the silencer itself, where the mountings are on the silencer, the height differenct between the entry to the silencer and the entry to the pipe. If it looks doable, and you do not fancy DIY work, go and talk to a local stainless exhaust manufacturer to perform the necessary work.
The pipe connection will require a compression sleeve, such as that which BMW sell for fitting a new silencer to an old system.
Prove itI have a complete Schnitzer exhaust on my M44 and it sounds gr8 ...
And now ask BMW how much they want for much the same thing. I'm guessing more than the car's worth.Cobra just quoted me £686 to supply and fit the exhaust they still manufacture for the M44
Appreciate the offer - will take a lookI’ve got a stainless cat back oval tip I’ve taken off my 1.9 not sure of the make but similar to cobra free if you want it, I had a stainless made at JP exhausts £600 check them out on there website
