I’ve a scrap 1.9 facelift. Is it worth taking this sensor off and keeping it

Yikes! Was £634 including the labour to fit the pump? If so, how much for just the ABS pump on its own?

I get ABS and DSC occasionally. They either clears after 20s of driving, or persist but are cleared the next time I start the car.
So the £634 was for a reconditioned pump, fitting, brake system bled and the ‘pump’ came with a lifetime warranty. It’s better than the £2k bmw quoted!!!

Prices for parts like that kill a lot of older cars.
That's a sobering thought when you plan on keeping forever and it's your only car (like me)

In answer to your other question, I reckon it'd be sensible to take the sensor off your scrap car and keep it (along with everything else that works!) Might save you a few pennies down the line.

Bumpa when we first got my sons 2002 2.2 sport it was having intermitent DSC and ABS lights coming on codes on the reader were the same as yours. We found the battery was not in the best health since changing this the problem has not happened again.
