Hi there, I know this may have been covered before, but have been having both these lights coming on recently , on my 1999 z3 1.9 140, plugged autel in and code 71 was logged asc pump problem, been reading somewhere about the solder on the 2 spots within the control module, just wondered if there was some way of testing the pump independently or 99% of the time am I better off just opening the module and sorting the dry joints, where would u guys go first with this? cheers

I think you answered your own question. OR send it away and have it repaired and tested.

I had this a few times. Usually if the car hadn't been used for a while. But drove the car and the lights would go away.

The big connector to the abs pump. Took that off and sprayed wd40 in there. Lights haven't come back on since. So, in my case, i think it was moisture getting into the connector or something like that.

Thanks for your help, carefully cut the box and resoldered the two pins, couldn’t see much wrong with them tbh but the lights are out so may have been a small fracture in the old solder or something, fingers crossed but so far so good
