Myself and a very good old friend of mine (for my age!) caught up and decided to visit Bentley Motor Museum. It's also a wildfowl park, but we weren't to fussed about those kind of birds Neither of us were too sure why it is called 'Bentley' museum either, as the majority of the cars weren't......
I'm hoping that by doing this write-up, I will finally have managed to convince my friend to sign up on here, and hopefully he will be along soon enough to add his pictures to the write-up.
Now we were told that all of the cars on display were privately owned, and put on display with all of the individual owners' permission. In fact, this was good news, as the guy cleaning the cars personally knew the owner of this 1975 Renault Alpine rally car, and he kindly pulled back the rope and allowed us to race the car around the grounds!!! ...I mean he let us sit in it. Which was a challenge in itself!
Below are a few snaps, taken sporadicly between us catching up, of the other vehicles that caught my eye.
And finally, onto the fun stuff.... Crayons!!!
We then went for a walk around the grounds, found it incredibly difficult to figure out the very simple map, gave up and decided it was time for lunch (definitely the highlight of the day!)
We went to a hotel restaurant my sister introduced me to, where they serve your choice cut of meat on an (extremely) hot rock. You then sear the meat, and cook it to your own taste, on the hot rock, slice by slice. I went for the lamb; it was incredible...
The day wouldn't be complete without a couple of compulsory pictures of our Zeds side-by-side in the restaurant car park
Until next time buddy! Hurry up and sign the fcuk up!
