Hi Guys, we set off from rural South West France (La Rochefoucauld) only 10c & hood up, after 1hr hood down, now 15c. Amazing route through the vineyards of the Cognac region to Mortagne, beautiful area.
After lunch headed south to Blae, medieval walled City, only to discover they were holding a wine festival with in the walled city..happy days. An 30 min boat trip across the la Gironde estuary. After a 1.5hr trip we arrive at Andernos Les Bain's, a typical seaside town, lot of people there enjoying some of the hottest weather for April for some time. The Z3 has truly been in its element, top down and some suberb roads.
Next day we headed south to the dunes de piloté, these dunes are the highest in Europe and are very impressive and well worth a visit. After an ice cream we headed north up through the peninsula to la Verdon ser Mer, another ferry trip to Royan. Trip back through the countryside home. it has been 28c + in the shade today, the aircon doesn't work so a regass is on the cards. I'm so impressed with the Z3, an average of 34mpg from a 3.0i, and the general comfort and handeling is as good if not better than a lot of new cars.
Car now hosed off as was covered in sand & salt.
Happy day
