A very close shave .............................

Yes they are scarey for sure because of their long legs and the downslope of most bonnets these days. The car takes out the legs then you've got nearly a ton of moosemeat coming at you in one big chunk. The biggest bear taken out by a.car around here was well over 7 ft and about 1400 lbs. wroteoff the car but the driver walked away unscathed. JIM

That was close. Solid little bleeders to, I hit one in the Passat just off the Barley mow Roundabout on the A43 some years ago (bleeders are everywhere around there) the Passat didn't fair well, mind you neither did the Muntjac o_O
 
Close shave there Tony, deer are a danger almost everywhere these days and Muntjacs are quite hefty little things.

Indeed MIke, I had just passed the house of a guy who works where I do and he often uses that lane when leaving home in a morning. We were talking about these deer the other week and John told me that the worrying thing is that they're become much active during daylight hours nowadays rather than just in the twilight and dark hours so more likely to be on the roads.:(

Three deer together? Unlikely they were Muntjac, look like Roe to me, but not too sure due to quality of the picture at the point I stopped the video. None the less still make a mess of your Zed, one good thing, Roe eat better that Muntjac!

Could be Roe deer Mike, but these were rather small animals, about the size of a large dog and luckily I didn't collect a specimen.;) I'd better make some room in the freezer before I go back out that way I think.:thumbsup:

This time of the year Roe will collect together and stand in the middle of fields, because the vegetation is down they are far more conspicuous. They also tend to run in the same direction when disturbed. Muntjac usually only appear alone, sometimes in pairs, but not usually.
