Don't see many cabbage ears these days, had this old beauty to test this morning. 1986 C.reg. 1.8 SRI with only 41K original miles. Lovely car, it only failed on a wiper blade and advised on a blowing exhaust back box.
Makes you remember just how simple cars used to be;), I had a 1600 hatch version some years back, great car.

ps. Our Abbie bought a Beetle rag top last Sunday, so there may be another "foreigner" on next September's cruise.:)

Crikey that's in great condition, we had a 1.6 saloon and it was a good family car.
We had an Astra Belmont s.r.i for a short while, I loved that car at the time but then I swapped it for the newer (then) shape Cavalier s.r.i and regretted it .

I liked the Belmont Steve, slightly longer wheel base gave a much nicer ride, just like the Orion did over the MK3 Ekky.:)

My second car was an '81 Ascona (Opel's Cavalier equivalent). A big step up in terms of luxury from my Mini, lots more room in the back seat .
