Anyone guess what I made this tool for.
It can be used on BMW models other than the Z3, but I made it specifically for use on my Z.
It is made from 5mm x 25mm x 150mm mild stell.
It would work equally well if it was 3 or 4 mm thick metal too. Anything less might be a problem.
The gap in the ends are 5mm wide x 30mm long, but the length is okay at 20mm.
I made them that long to ensure I didn't have any issues.
Overall length can be as little as 140mm...
The ends are bent at aprox 10 - 12 degrees and the bend is 55mm from the center - so 110mm between the two bends.
The nut is a 16mm, but a 15 or 17 or 20 will be good too.
