Myself and Jue have been over to Torksey Lock to see Tony and Shirl today to collect my induction purchased from Tony from his Z3 and to have a set of seat lifters fitted as well. After a coffee me and Tony went off into the garage to I assume fit the seat lifter. Tony had the bonnet up and was fitting the induction and heat shield before I could blink!

Job done!! :)
Reggie was turned round and the drivers seat was removed in seconds. (This man does not hang about!!) Lifters in situ and seat back in in 10 minutes.
Job done! :)
After a 30 minutes gab @Mint and @Mrs Mint turned up soon followed by @Bozzy with Sarah and two other members of his family. So off we all trundled over the road to the pub for steak pot pie and a drink.
Very nice! We then returned back to Tony and Shirls were we jumped in our Zed's (apart from the mints) who borrowed Tonys Z3 and we had ourselves a 30 minute mini cruise. Good work tony, nice roads apart from the bloody farm track covered in cow sh***!!!!!
So I'd like to raise a glass to Tony for being such a nice helpful chap:beer.

You say the nicest things Dave, and he christened my garage "The Z Shed" apologies if you already use that @Lee , I could add (Midlands) after it. We've had one of those really quick to pass afternoons with a great bunch of friends and made some new ones too thanks to Steve and Sara. We even squeezed in 30 mins of top down motoring too. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks all! :)

Yep, couldn't agree more, cracking day Steve. First year I've ran Reggie so late. Normally in bed by now. Would have missed out on today if he was!

I couldn't cope having my zed off the road over winter especially as the climate's changing and we're getting milder winters, today being a prime example :)
Although salty roads is a different story.....bloody stuff.
Went out on Tuesday night with the roof down, just a spur of the moment thing, went a ride up derby-shire and got back at 10pm,15 degrees !

Nice one guys and gals, I wish there were a few Zeds around me so I could have get togethers and share the company of like minded people. So please keep these stories going as winter and cabin fever are in my very near future although today it's abnormally high at 10c , But I've a bunch of stuff to pick up at a buddy's so need the pick up. Hopefully will get a short drive out in the Zed after that!! JIM

Well just to add my thanks to @t-tony for allowing me to 'borrow' his Zed 3 for the mini cruise. It was great to drive another Zed while ours is having her paint job done. So :thankyou: Tony.

Also great to meet up with @Grumpy, @jue1, @Bozzy & Sara and meet Derek and his wife, (sorry Steve forgot your sisters name:() for the first time. A superb lunch over at The Swan, followed by a mini cruise then a good chat back at Tony's over tea & coffee.

A great way to spend a Sunday, well worth the 4hr drive to get there and back,:D we must do it all again sometime.

:thankyou:all.
