Took the covers off the big stereo,s speakers for fidelity's sake . I dont do that often, but it's bliss when I do... Ludwig van & Johann Sebastian and a bit of Giuseppe & Johannes ..

Can't you play something more recent was the request from the other end of the house, I was tempted to play some Yoko Ono but I put on Joe Satriani' s Surfing with the Alien instead. Yup I,m still sleeping in one of the spare rooms tonight...

The Joy of Music.

Working in Hamburg at Airbus some years ago I popped into a HiFi shop there which had set up a demo of an MBL Radialstrahler system with 250kg speakers for a rich German chap. As he had yet to arrive I asked if they could pop on Michael Jacksons Dirty Diana, expecting some Teutonic abuse I was pleasantly surprised to see a CD efficiently produced.

Really listening to any music on a high end system is a revelation, it should make you laugh, smile, say Wow! and stir you in the emotional bit of your brain. Suffice to say Mr Jackson did sound rather good.

for the price of an average house...

Very nice, by comparison mine weigh in at a pathetic 110kg each and 60 for the sub.. and take a thousand watts to drive efficiently.

Wow your place looks so peaceful <3 and the music ahhh, I bet it make you feel some type of way
I did build them to be +/- 3db from 15hz to 23khz, not that I can hear much above 15k nowadays, but I was up for the challenge, and reasonably successful , issues with room reflections and general geometry of the listening space, that I attempted to mitigate with canvas wall art and vegetation. But I'm please with the outcome. However this is where audiophilia gets silly IMHO, the wavelength of sound at 20hz is about 60 feet, so if you play it in a smaller space with any amount if vigor all you get is resonating sound within the space, rattly windows and broken cornice work, and an invitation to sleep in a spare bedroom. To that end the bass sounds best at the other end of house, sitting on the toilet...=))
