The sun was shining and the roads were nice and dry so me and Amy had a roof down tootle around the Dove dale Valley.
Amy took some pics on her phone................About an hour before the heavens opened.....Luckily we had the roof up just in time, didn't spoil the drive :)

Nice way to see in the new year Steve. Did the same many years ago, pulled into a parking space as a car pulled out at Matlock Bath. Went for a walk around and came back to find a parking ticket! Ba*+*%ds!

Annoyingly the car pulled out from between other cars so I parked up, turned out that it was double yellow lines that were barely legible.

Yep that's Matlock for you :meh:
In the days when i did stop off for a coffee there I'd park at the "fish pond" car park as there was hardly ever any space to park on the road,I'd buy a car park ticket which is a liberty as you can fit at least 2 bikes in 1 bay,and take a pic of the ticket stuck to the reg plate as a few bikers had there tickets "borrowed" by others parking there and got a fine for not displaying a ticket !

s.64(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 traffic signs shall be of the size, colour and type prescribed by regulation, if a sign the contravention of which is an offence contrary to s.36 is not as prescribed by the regulation, no offence is committed if the sign is contravened, even if the sign is clearly recognisable to a reasonable man as a sign of that kind.

Davies v Heatley [1971] R.T.R 145

The law is there not just for you to obey, but also for the authorities to comply with as well. I've challenged 2 parking tickets and driving through a no entry all on technicalities and won all of them.
