would be better done in private,
That is fully the intention of moderation. Sometimes however those being moderated chose to bring it out in to the open - whether that is with a public post, Chinese whispers through the PM system, email, phone or whatever method.

Something is only private until it becomes public domain.

Spot on @t-tony ... It's the public spats which risk spoiling it for those of us who are innocent bystanders.

Effective communication actually needs an audience that is interested in the topic of conversation, they then listen to what has been said, digest it and then respond with either an agreement or a counter argument, which then leads to further debate, council, suggestion, evidence and final summary, which could be that both parties do not actually agree, and you know what, not agreeing is fine as we are all individuals and all see the world in a different shade of colour. We can then move on to the next argument, and if we all agreed all the time life would be dull, and this forum would be empty...

I am Male and I have never grown up, life's to short to be miserable, leave that to the Labour Party...

I hope you all agree...

Do you ever get the feeling you have missed something?

TBH quite often Brian.:)
If it's any consolation I sometimes feel that way when I'm trying to catch up on the posts...

I honestly don't know how you fit it all in mate, alongside the small matter of earning a living.

Tony.

I'm not going to post that word, you know what I'm thinking.=))

Tony.
