I wish it was! I think you would be shocked to see how much it costs here. On the conversion it's pretty much equal to the uk but for the locals it's like paying £3.49 (it is R$3.49 and the exchange rate is about 2.7 to 1 gbp) per litre for the decent stuff. If you have a car that runs on ethanol then it's about R$1.90 per litre but you use it up quickly. There is a mix between the two which sometimes contains rubbish which is about R$2.50 a litre. All that from a country that produces masses of the black stuff bit for export. It was explained to me the other day that it's exported and taxed in crude. Refined and imported again with yet more tax so that's why it's so expensive. Government scam really but then I'm used to all that
