There was a bit on the local news tonight about road salt, they reckon it loses it's effectiveness below 10c .......so why bother putting it on the roads when water starts to freeze at 4c ?

Parts of Gloucestershire supposed to have hit -13C last night. Not sure about Cheltenham - don't have an outside thermometer.
Next Spring I might install a mini weather station. Too cold to do it right now!
