That's quite cheap. Around 35p a Ltr in 1990. I'm sure I was paying 45p I remember it well coz my 1980 MB 380SLC v8 was doing 11mpg

when i passed my test in 1983 i had a mini 1000 i put a fiver in it a week if it need it or not and used it every day to go to work

In the early 60's I had a Mk V Jag and I could fill the 15 gallon tank for £3.

I remember petrol for only shillings a gal back in the early/mid 50s

I remember in summer of 1978/9 my dad moaning about 4 star being nearly 60p a gallon.

In 1983/4 I could fill my moped tank for under £2 and it would last about 2 weeks.

I started driving, legally, in 1972 and 4 gallons were round about £1, 5 pints of bitter and packet of crisps just under £1, return rail ticket Bury-Manchester Victoria 46.5p and 20 Regal King size 46.5p, those were the days!
