An uber nice touch from the C-in-C for my 60th, 3 nights in Burford at this gaff,

Set off tomorrow in Bella, the sun is predicted to be out so roof down. A nice meal out in Burford Wednesday then Thursday off to Diddly Squat, then Moreton-in-Marsh (place of my birth) then off to Bourton-on-the-Water, back to the gaff then off to the Farmers Dog for a meal. Out and about on Friday (TBC) then home on Saturday. Circa 750 miles in Bella.

Excited 😊

Bella clicked over to 673 miles as I parked her in the garage. A great few days was had in my favourite part of the UK, so chocolate box and picturesque.

Cheers mate. It's a real name, as in Farmers make Diddley Squat money (well, some of them).

Lucky boy, Cotswolds, Bella, food and even sun ordered. I believe there is even a nice little motor museum in Bourton-on-the-Water. You know how to live!!

Sounds good Andy, we'll be down there in June. Don't think I'll be going to any of Clarkson's overpriced places, he's got plenty of dosh!:D

If you ask nicely, advising you have Bella with you you may be able to park in the front yard.

Then pop in for a burger at https://www.smithsofbourton.com/

Enjoy. I took the middle lad down to the South Coast to pick up a SAAB the other month and we called in it at the Farmers Dog on the way back. What I'd not realised is that they only release bookings for food every 3 months and they all go relatively quickly. Suffice to say we had to settle for just a drink 👍

Don't be deceived by that empty car park either. I think that area by the pub is for VIPs only and general parking is over the road in a field on metal sheeting like they use at festivals and county shows.

More internet spam!!! ;)

Bookings for the Farmers Dog open at 09:00 on the 1st of each month for the following month. As on their website: https://thefarmersdogpub.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoo6hwl7fuGHdTUBmEDht5V7etviO_mc_jZd_Cci9ITatUl573Ei ie for May, 1st April is the day to get online quick sharp. Weekdays late afternoon / early evening are likely most available. The other parts of the site ie Farmers Pup and shop, bar, don't require bookings.

Checking regularly occasionally brings up slots due to cancellations.

Disabled parking is near the door, 2 bays designated, but showing your blue badge to staff gets you in to that car park you've pictured. Last time we were there for dinner that car park was pretty full, but there were no VIPs (whatever they are), in the venue.

FFS is your first name Jeremy?

I was simply relaying an account of my experience back in November - so what I said is how it was rather than internet spam as you allude.

The only bit I omitted was that blue badge holders could get access to a car park on the same side of the road as the pub but definitely not that bit I showed in my photo with the pint which was empty as you can see. I can assure you thats a real photo and not AI.

Now get back to farming 🤣

Which is the empty one in this image, off the internet, none of that AI stuff:

This is a van, probably not a VIP in the car park by the sign on the evening of 28/01/2026:

and the reflected tail lights of another non VIP vehicle also in the car park:

on the same evening.

The booking was made on 01/12/2025.

Like the Devil in the famous Charlie Daniels song I know when I've been beat!

You sir are a legend of infinite wisdom regarding the Farmers Dog pub 👍

@andyglym please ignore everything I said earlier apart from the bit about enjoying your birthday trip 🎂
