I met up with Rich (@zedonist) for a very enjoyable pub lunch and natter at the weekend and he very generously gave me a 6 CD Changer (top man as we already know).
Changer connected up and working so I've finally made it to the 20th century - 21st is some way off but I'm happy to stay OEM.

I need to make/acquire/buy a mounting bracket and wonder whether anybody has any photos of the boot mounting assembly in situ please. Also does the changer slide into the bracket after fitting or is it screwed together before fitting?
This is the OEM unit http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=CH72-EUR---Z3-BMW-Z3 1.9&diagId=65_0291. There are 3 pre- tapped holes in body to take M6 bolts (part 2).

Thanks

Thanks Rich - had googled it but could couldn't find one - plenty of other models on ebay. Was going to ring local dealer tomorrow to check if they are still available but that's a good link. Looked at fitting with ordinary brackets as we discussed but the left one has restricted access - and really needs to be a slot in as per OEM.

Cheers
Colin

@jonco My CD autochanger stopped working so I dumped it and got a mechless unit. The bracket is still in my car and you are welcome to it if you want it. I'm working away from home at the moment but can take it out this weekend.

Thanks @Jack Ratt - that's great - I'll never take anything for nothing so nominate a charity and I'll donate.
Cheers Colin

Hi jonco
This has nothing to do with this post but wanted to ask you a question but don't know how to any other way.
Your post about re programing a brick style fob.
My nephew a computer man tried to do this yesterday but failed nothing worked after trying many times so put it all back in place. What else could be checked to get it all working ?
Thanks in advance.

Geoff
