Hello and welcome from Surrey, you will need to get the ABS and ASC fixed for the next MOT, you can always turn the ASC off if you don't want it. I recently had this problem on my E46 and it was the control unit. It is possible to get them repaired.

not sure ASC is an MOT issue @t-tony may advise on that.

The ASC on 2.8 is a second throttle butterfly which closes to restrict airflow. Can't remember how it is actuated but would be worth having a look at it to see if it is being held partially closed.

I don't think you are close enough to come and plug into my diagnostics.

If the ASC light is on it is an MOT fail, I'm sorry to say.

Hi, most of the stuff I've tackled has been repairable, the boot floor being biggest job, thankyou
