Nice one Bonbon, great to see someone using their car like it's meant to be. That's about 240000 miles here in the UK

Good work. They really are solid engines. Is it a 2.8?

1.9 M44 Auto. Original Engine - changed gear at ~330k
Daily drive ~20k/year.
About 10km/liter (mediocre fuel here)
Loosing 100cc water per 500km (via the head?)
Lots of fun tinkering as have had virtually all the issues that everyone lists. All the way from fuel gauge to fan resistor bank to boot welds to seat bushes to roof piston to heater valve to leaking 3rd brake light to failed hoses (hot here) etc etc......... interesting enough to be a challenge and simple enough to be satisfied when putting them right.
This is an ideal opportunity to thank all the mates who shared their wisdom on all forums to guide others on their journey. Hats off to everyone!
