HI I need to get some 3M tape for when I start reassembling the Imola, any idea which one is the best for sticking the plastic bits back on? I've been on the web site buts there's loads of different ones. And where can I get it, 3M dont sell direct?

Ah well you see 3M isn't an actual tape, its a manufacturer, which is why theres all different ones. The co. dates back to mining era in Minnesota ;)
3M is good but there will be other tapes that do just the same thing.

I bought a cheaper alternative to 3m to stick new number plates on my van.
It came unstuck after two days so I bought 3m and they're still stuck fast after 3 months.
@t-tony stuck my d.r.l's on with 3m, they must have been on about 10 months with no bother.

What bits do you want to stick back on? The badges?

I found a good foam tape for doing the soft top with. Very pleased with that.

You should be able to get 3M brand from a reputable bodywork supply store Niall. There are other brands out there, we use Wurth products at work and they're also very good. I have used double sided carpet tape from Wilko in the past, great for where you don't want to see the joint as it's very thin.

Tony.

OK thanks, maybe should have said tape made by 3M (which is pretty close to 3M tape is it not?)
